Check out this Glass Brick we did! We took a laser copy of our precious model Kahanu, then brushed on top of the image with Liquitex Gel medium. Once it is completely dry soak the paper in water for 10 minutes. Gently rub the paper off. This will leave you with a transparency you can apply to any surface! Watch Joy of Crafting in October to see how it's done! So easy! You can use it for a center piece.

We are getting ready for the upcoming Wedding Expo April 23rd & 24th. One of the most popular themes is "Cherry Blossom". For the invitations I cut the paper to fit a legal envelope. This is a great way to cut cost. You can get 3 invites using a 12x12 sheet of paper. We chose washi paper as a sleeve on both the invitations and the favors. This adds a beautiful accent and touch of color. The favor boxes were cut from the Accucut machine. Hope you are inspired by these ideas and will join us at the Wedding Expo.Friday, March 26, 2010

Water Marbles.....We have sold so many water marbles lately to our younger customers. Water marbles were designed originally for florist as a marble or rock replacement. These fun marbles come in a variety of color and when water is added they can keep your fresh floral arrangements alive in a fun pretty way. Most recently, our biggest client for these "Water Marbles" are the kids! When I asked a young one what they do with these marbles, they simply said, "I watch it grow. Then I stick my hands in it. They feel cool!" So there you have it. A new product used by florist, crafter's, and kids. Water Marbles are the Item of the Month in March. Two for $5. Come by and see this cool new product!

This is one of my favorite projects! Supplies for this project are watercolor postcard pad, aqua pens, watercolor pencils and a micro pen. The watercolor post cards work great with watercolor pencils. I first sketched my picture with the micron black pen, then colored in sections with the watercolor pencil. Finally, I blended the pencils with the aqua pen.All of these supplies are small and easy to carry when traveling. They also serve as a souvenir and a journal of where you have been.

We have this NEW End Cap located in the Make a Memory section of the store. We are featuring Tin Sheets and Black boards.
The Tin Sheets can be used with your favorite 12x12 scrapbook paper to create super cute magnetic board! Accent it with marble magnets. Next, the Black board. We used Bistro Markets to write with. They can easily be removed with a little water and a paper towel. These would make excellent gift for your favorite teacher, coach, friend or family member. Come check it out and get inspired!
